:„Large and unusual format 6.75x13x1.5" deep empty box originally contained 100 1¢ wax packs. For one of the all-time classic non-sport card sets which was issued by Gum, Inc. in 1935 (see wrappers #2535). Has lift off lid w/art on all side, box bottom is plain w/exception of text on underside "Notice In Case Of Complaint Refer To Number 238." Top of lid has large image of Mickey blowing a bubble (but totally different image of Mickey from the wrapper). Top/bottom side panels of lid have similar image while right/left sides feature Mickey w/Minnie & Pluto. Along left edge is some inking. Left side panel has.5x1.5" triangular piece of brown tape adhered over the work "Mickey." Similar size spot of missing surface paper on right side panel where tape was removed and this has removed the "U" in "Gum." None of the images are affected. Box has some other lt. aging and wear but remains bright w/deep red color and corner are tight. Fine. An exceptional rarity for both non-sports & Disneyana collectors, this is the only example known.“
